Pre-Retirement Seminar for both teachers and members of the Local Government Pension Scheme. The day will provide advice and information to enable NYCC staff to prepare for retirement including benefits, health, forward planning and an introduction to financial awareness after retirement. (Please note independent financial advice is not given at the seminar. If attendees wish to make their own arrangements, they can do so. The course provider is not endorsed or recommended in any way).
Are you aged 55 or over, contributing to either the Local Government Pension Scheme or Teachers’ Pensions and interested in planning to get the best out of your retirement? If yes, then this is aimed at you. Please note: It is becoming increasingly apparent within the financial services legislation that information provided to individuals must be as up to date accurate as possible. Therefore, we strongly advise that delegates are retiring (or considering to) within twelve to eighteen months.
Useful tips and advice on: financial planning including pensions issues, the specifics of your own pension scheme, investments, income tax, capital gains tax and inheritance tax, job search, voluntary work, interests and hobbies, managing your time, DSS benefits.
