David Cameron has established himself as a leading voice in education. He has led reviews and presented at conferences across the UK and internationally, but he remains committed to working with parents, governors, teachers, learners and colleagues who work with schools to support them. David has extensive experience as a teacher, a senior manager in schools and in local authorities, most recently as Director of Children’s Services for Stirling Council. He has been extensively involved in Curriculum for Excellence, Scotland’s national curriculum and, notably, in reviewing school funding. As an independent consultant, he has maintained that level of involvement and further broadened his experiences, particularly through his role as Chair of the York Education Partnership. Much of his recent work has been with business managers in schools, including a sensationally well-received workshop at the national conference. His contributions to conferences and his work with schools are always well reviewed and he has a reputation for being both entertaining and informative He can be contacted at email@example.com Workshop 1 Building a Change Culture This workshop will give you the chance to hear about some of the key lessons in making effective change and allow you to share your experiences and hear from colleagues on what has worked in making a difference Workshop 2 Challenging Conversations Especially in the current climate, School business managers are likely to have a lot of potentially challenging conversations. This session will look at how we can make these easier and explore how we turn difficult discussions into effective meetings Workshop 3 Measuring Success This workshop will ask lots of questions about what "success" looks like from the standpoint of a School business Manager. Is it survival, balanced books or something more and how will we know when we have achieved it? Like the earlier workshops this will be a blend of presentation and discussion
