Half day training that focusses on how to recognise when children are at risk of being harmed and how to safeguard them appropriately..
This training will equip delegates with the knowledge & skills to enhance their ability to understand & respond to issues concerning safeguarding children.
"Delegates will: Increase understanding of the legislation and guidance under-pinning ‘safeguarding children’ work including: Working Together to Safeguard Children 2018; Keeping Children Safe In Education 2018; Children Act 1989/ 2004. Establish basic understanding of the types of abuse which can be experienced by children and young people; Increase awareness of the indicators abuse; Increase awareness of ‘peer pressure’, including links with CSE and unhealthy relationships; Start to explore perpetrators behaviour in order to work preventatively; Understand responsibilities to record, report and share information through appropriate processes.
Tea and coffee will be provided. LUNCH WILL NOT BE PROVIDED.
This course is for anyone working with children & young people who need a further update on safeguarding children once they have completed the basic online safeguarding course.
